Our History

Eastern Industries, Inc. is a manufacturer and supplier of new water pumps to the automotive, heavy duty, industrial, and marine aftermarkets. Eastern has a global footprint, both domestically and abroad. John E. Wall founded the company in the early 1950's. The history of the company reflects the ability and forward thinking of Mr. Wall, to identify a market with unmet needs and to develop the market to it's full potential.

Headquarters. Panama City, Florida USA

From the beginning, the company achieved success supplying parts to the automotive and other industries. In 1959, the company was incorporated as Eastern Auto Parts Co., Inc., a name that reflected the company's direction and focus towards the automotive aftermarket.

Throughout the years, Mr. Wall and his wife, Margaret, traveled the world seeking opportunities to position Eastern as a major supplier to the aftermarket. In the 1980's, the company re-dedicated it's focus to supplying the automotive aftermarket with new parts and soon had operations in Taipei, the United Kingdom, Tokyo, and four New Jersey locations.

As the demands and requirements of the aftermarket changed, Mr. Wall envisioned the need to focus on becoming a manufacturer of new water pumps. In February 1989, the company broke ground on a new 140,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Panama City, FL. Upon completion, all operations were moved to the Panama City corporate complex.

In 1990, Eastern Auto Parts Co., Inc. was merged into Eastern Industries, Inc.. Eastern Industries quickly gained notoriety in the new water pump segment of the aftermarket by offering customers a quality new water pump at a competitive price. To ensure that customers were receiving the highest quality products, Eastern achieved QS9000 certification in September 2000.

As Mr. Wall looked towards the future of the company, he implemented a long-term plan to ensure continuity in the structure, planning, operations, and vision of the company. Mr. Wall established an Executive Committee that would carry on the very same values the company was built on. In October 2000, he appointed his son, David A. Wall as President, a position that he still holds today as he oversees the daily operations of the company. The Executive Committee continues to focus on long-term growth and success with the principles set forth by it's founder.

On June 13, 2002, Mr. Wall sadly passed away. Although he is not physically present, the spirit of his dedication and guiding principles continue with the company each and every day. While continuing on with Mr. Wall's vision, Eastern will continue to be a leader in the automotive aftermarket
